Nova Scotia Canada in Review

Canada is a vast country - the second largest country in the world after Russia. Canada encompasses territory from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and from the high Arctic to the northern border of the continental U.S.A. Although very much a "northern" country the terrain and geography of Canada is very diverse. As well as the popular image of Canada as a country of pristine forests and snowy vistas, there are also deserts and badlands, temperate rain forests and long and wide beaches.

When it comes to Christmas, no one does it better than Canada. The holiday season brings blankets of thick white snow, a multitude of holiday traditions and, thanks to Canada’s northerly location, plenty of darkness. So it should come as no surprise that a favorite holiday practice in the Great North, is setting up beautiful light displays.

A bottle of wine, a secluded beach and the sun setting over the water. A log fire, a mountain retreat and starry skies. Centuries-old cobbled streets, quaint historic inns and intimate bistros. No matter what one’s idea of a romantic getaway is, Canada has much to fall in love with.

The name Canada comes from a chance meeting between Jacques Cartier and two young native Indians in 1535.
