The Samson/Albion Trail

This urban walking trail follows the route of Canada's first iron-steel railroad.

Trail Access: Accessed at the New Glagow Riverfront Visitors Centre.

The trail is made of crushed gravel, making it an easy, level walk. Along the way, walkers will encounter a memorial to the Sobey family, the Kinnette picnic area, Carmichael Park (complete with look-off spots) and Pioneer Park, which commemorates the contribution of Pioneer Coal to the community. This is the longest urban walking trail in Nova Scotia
