    Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens

    Located on the grounds of Acadia University, this 2.5 ha (6 acre) garden and conservatory contains nine native habitats of Acadian Forest Region. Visitors walk the pathways that wind through the gardens and enjoy a picnic on the grounds. Guided tours are available on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer.

    Two Rivers Wildlife Park
    Five hundred square acres of wildlife and leisure awaits at the Two Rivers Wildlife Park.     Located slightly southwest of Sheet Harbour, this rugged area of land is well-known as a home to fascination geological formations and unique species.     Thomas Raddall Provincial Park

    With 650 ha (1,600 acres) of parkland, this seaside park offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, swimming, picnicking, camping and even relaxing. Three white sand beaches lie within the perimeters of the park. Four migratory seabird sanctuaries can be found nearby. To get to the park, exit Highway 103 in Port Joli at the Port L' Herbert turn-off.

    Mount Uniacke Estate Museum Park

    This historic house and estate, located between Dartmouth and Windsor on Route 1, is a true Georgian-style development that was built in 1813 for Attorney-General Richard John Uniacke. The property has seven scenic walking trails that can be enjoyed any time of year. The house, which is open from June to mid-October, gives visitors a feel for the lives on 19th century Nova Scotian gentry. The tea room in the basement is operated by knowledgeable museum interpreters.

    Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site of Canada

    The only inland national park in the Maritimes, Kejimkujik Nation Park houses several lakes and rivers, making it an ideal place for canoeing.
