    Located near the border between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, this provincial park was established to protect the eastern terminal of the Chignecto Marine Transport Railway. The park boasts a sand and pebble beach with pit toilets, change houses and a picnic area.

    Risser's Beach Provincial Park

    The Lawrencetown Beach has a network of boardwalks, as well as change houses and a canteen. This sand and cobblestone beach is known for its amazing waves, but the riptides can be powerful so swimmers should be cautious. There is, however, a few supervised swimming areas.

    Point Pleasant Park
    This 186-acre wooded park has numerous attractions, including a long sandy stretch of beach, ruins of early structures, a Martello tower and 39+ km of easy walking trails, many of which are wheelchair-accessible. The park was hit rather severly by Hurricane Juan, so donations to the park are welcome.
