    Acadian Cross Historical Site

The Acadian Cross (also called the Deportation Cross) was erected in 1785 at Grand Pré as a memorial to the Acadians who were brutally deported from their home in the 1700's. The original cross has since been replaced with a more durable one, but the spirit remains. Interpretive signs and displays will help visitors broaden their knowledge of Acadia and the significance of the cross. Open May 3 to October 31.
