Clementsport Artists

In 1997 the Povah Gallery was opened in Clementsport, and Povah's work can now be found in collections as far away as Europe and the United States, and from one coast of Canada to the other. Povah interprets rather than simply records his subject matter, whether it is the landscapes and seascapes of Nova Scotia, or portraits of its' people and things. His vibrant palette and emphatic brushstrokes echo the work of two of his greatest artistic influences - the post-impressionists Van Gogh and Cezanne.
