Festival Acadien de Clare

This annual festival commemorates the deportation of Acadians from Clare in 1755. The festival started as a large family reunion in 1955. The many events include feasts, dances, live performances, concerts and community breakfasts. Past participants in the festival have included former prime minister Pierre Trudeau.
